Speed/Limit Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Location Data (GPS)

• Speed/Limit uses your device's GPS to determine your current speed and location.
• This data is processed entirely on your device.
• We do not upload, store, or track your location on any server.

Anonymous Analytics

• We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., app opens, feature usage).
• This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.
• We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix app crashes.

Purchase Information

• If you purchase a subscription, payment is handled entirely by Google Play.
• We receive only the subscription status (active/inactive) to unlock premium features.
• We do not store your payment details or billing information.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers.
• We do not track or store your travel history or routes.
• We do not share any data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
• We do not require you to create an account.

3. OpenStreetMap Contributions

If you choose to contribute speed limit data to OpenStreetMap:

• You will be asked to log in with your own OpenStreetMap account.
• Contributions are made directly to OpenStreetMap under your OSM username.
• This is entirely optional and follows OpenStreetMap's own privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Services

Speed/Limit uses the following third-party services:

• OpenStreetMap Overpass API - To look up speed limit data for roads. Only your approximate location is sent (no personal data).
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics - For anonymous usage statistics and crash reporting.
• Google AdMob - To serve advertisements for free-tier users. AdMob may use device identifiers or location to serve relevant ads.
• Google Play Billing - If you purchase a subscription, payment is handled entirely by Google.

5. Data Storage

• Your preferences and settings are stored locally on your device.
• We do not operate servers that store your personal data.

6. Children's Privacy

Speed/Limit is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. You can:

• Uninstall the app at any time to remove all local data.
• Disable location permissions in your device settings.
• Opt out of Firebase Analytics via your device's Google settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
